Hickory Point Mall in collaboration with Cotton Incorporated, invites you to "Lose Your Blues" by contributing your old blue jeans and any other denim apparel items to the Blue Jeans Go Green™ denim recycling program.

From August 1 through 31, simply drop off your denim for recycling in the designated receptacle in the Center Court

Denim of any color and in any condition will be accepted. All denim collected will be converted into UltraTouch™ Denim Insulation. Each year, up to approximately 250,000 square feet of the insulation is distributed to communities in need. Help us reach our goal of collecting 500 pair of jeans, which is approximately enough to insulate one home!

The Recycling Process:
Once denim is given to the Blue Jeans Go Green™ program, the recycling process begins by removing zippers, buttons and hardware. The denim is then returned to its natural, original fiber state: cotton and ultimately becomes UltraTouch™ Denim Insulation for homes in need and other community-based civic buildings. To date, the Blue Jeans Go Green™ denim recycling program has diverted more than 600 tons of waste out of landfills and generated approximately 2 million square feet of UltraTouch™ Denim Insulation to assist with building efforts in communities in need.
