URBANA -- Want to get an up-close look at our local history? Then The Urbana Free Public Library is a must-visit this weekend.

In connection with the library's 140th anniversary, the Champaign County Archives (http://urbanafreelibrary.org/tags/champaign-county-historical-archives), housed and cared for by the Urbana Free Public Library, will bring out some rarely-seen historical momentos for the public to enjoy. The collection includes old photographs and artifacts, some of which date back to the days when some of our cities were one-horse towns!

Click the video to learn more about the collection and hear why Archives Director Anke Voss says this collection will interest anyone who lives in Champaign County.

For more information on the events connected with the library's 140th anniversary, visit their web site: http://urbanafreelibrary.org.
