Ghostly Manor Thrill Center is set up indoors so they are open all year round, but in the fall they host Lake EERIE FrightFrest through Halloween. You'll find a variety of activities here for kids of all ages, including a haunted house for adults and a milder version for kids.
Cedar Point is in Sandusky too and it's known nationwide for its HalloWeekends. Through the first of November, the amusement park is set up with all things Halloween, from outdoor scare zones to two corn mazes - one for little kids and another that's a bit more scary. Cedar Point divides its HalloWeekends into The Great Pumpkin Fest for younger ones and Haunt for teens and adults.

Closer to home we have two more adult Halloween experiences with horror master Rob Zombie, who you may know from his movies, like the Devil's Rejects, or his heavy metal concerts. Zombie has the ultimate in Haunted Houses set up in Villa Park, Illinois, up near Chicago. It's open Thursday to Sunday nights through Halloween. This is definitely for teens and adults only, and not for anyone faint of heart.
The other adult Halloween experience nearby is at Lynfred Winery in Roselle. They are doing fun Halloween wine and candy pairings on October 28th, with duos like Pinot Grigio and Pop Rocks. (Visit LynfredWinery.com for details)
