FAIRMOUNT, Ill. (WCIA) -- Saturday marks the first annual trail race at Camp Drake to raise money for the Boy Scouts.

$25 allows registrants to run the banks of the Salt Fork. The money goes to support various Scouting activities.

Coordinators are still looking for volunteers who can offer time between 8:00-11:00am to serve as spotters along the trail.

Registration begins at 6:30am and runs through 8:15am. There are two races planned: a Kids K at 8:30am and an adult run that starts at 9:00am,

The event is organized by Adam Crutchley, a former Eagle Scout now pursuing a law degree at the University of Illinois.
