CHAMPAIGN -- Who doesn't have a reader on their holiday shopping list? But with all the titles to choose from, how do you decide what would be best for your friend or family member?

The Champaign Public Library has a few ideas. Every year, the staff at the library puts together lists of suggested books. While libraries are in the business of "lending" books rather than selling them, librarians say they see more titles than most people and know which series get the most traffic.

Watch the video to hear Nanette Donohue of the Champaign Public Library discuss four of the books on the list of recommended buys for adults.

The library also publishes recommendations for children (http://library.booksite.com/6691/nl/?list=CNL1&group=EB369) and teens (http://library.booksite.com/6691/nl/?list=CNL1&group=EB370) as well as adults (http://library.booksite.com/6691/nl/?list=CNL9&group=EB371) on the library's web site.
