Now is your chance to be a part of the community's planning.

The organization prepares to launch its flagship location in Illini Plaza - at the corner of Neil and Fox - early summer 2018. Under one roof, Lodgic Everyday Community will seamlessly blend three services, something no one else in the country is doing:
• Shared workspace – Full-service, hospitality-forward co-working to serve independent workers, small-business owners and other location-independent professionals, the fastest-growing segment of today’s workforce
• Healthy, delicious, affordable meals – Healthy, fast-casual, convenience-driven cafe with take-home meals and a full-service spitfire kitchen and bar
• Flexible, drop-in childcare – Play-based, early childhood learning curriculum with Mooseheart values of empathy, caring, respect, kindness responsibility and service embedded within the experience

At this point, people want to know what they can do to connect with Lodgic and help inform the organization on what our community really needs to help achieve the work/life balance challenge we all crave. Lodgic is making that opportunity available by conducting in-person research focus groups in October designed to build on existing market research and help further tailor the concept to meet the unique needs of Champaign-Urbana’s modern working families and professionals. During each one-hour-long research group, participants will have the chance to offer their input on packages, offers, services and amenities, and other elements of the Lodgic Everyday Community experience. Groups will be scheduled throughout the day and evening to accommodate individual schedules and will receive a cash incentive in thanks for participation, and will be offered a $125 cash "thank you" gift for their time. Participants will also receive an invitation to Lodgic's private pre-construction party later in October.

No one else in the country is doing what Lodgic is about to do. There ARE co-working spaces; there ARE some flexible, drop-in child care options - though not many, and certainly less with pre-school readiness curriculum - and there ARE craft food and beverage spots around. BUT NO ONE else in the country is blending all three together, specifically designed to strengthen families and communities. This is the first-ever Lodgic Everyday Community in the country.

We have focus groups to fill. They will take place the week of October 16th.

Eligible participants will fall into one or more of these categories:
1. Freelancer, independent small business owner, or other independently employed professional.
2. Full- or part-time employed workers who work outside their employer’s office 50% of the time or more.
3. Small business owners with 1 to 9 employees (part- or full-time, or 1099/contractors).
4. Parents with variable childcare needs, especially those who have flexible or non-traditional work schedules.
5. Graduate, post-graduate, or other adult students with family and/or work responsibilities in addition to school (or spouses of same).
6. Anyone looking for flexible, as-needed workspace and support services, or to be part of a professional and/or small business peer community.

Champaign-Urbana area residents who want to participate in groups should submit their interest by visiting www.lodgic.org/yourvoice. All inquiries will be vetted by the Lodgic Everyday Community research team who will manage the study. Space is limited.
