Annice McEwan

Annice McEwan knows nothing brings communities and people together quite like sports.

As part of her upbringing in the Pacific Northwest, Annice participated in a number of sports including cheerleading and softball. At home, Annice's knowledge of sports grew watching professional teams like the Seattle Seahawks and Mariners with her father. It was during Super Bowl XL that Annice decided she wanted to become a sportscaster.

After high school, Annice decided to leave the West Coast to major in Sports Media at Oklahoma State University. While there, she served as the football and men's basketball beat writer for the student newspaper, and as a host for OState TV's football and basketball pregame shows. During the summer, Annice was the sports intern for KTUL-TV in Tulsa, Okla.

Annice joined the WCIA3 Sports team in May of 2016. She strives to bring the best coverage of local high school teams and Illinois athletics. Please send story ideas to amcewan@wcia.com.
