Erick joined the WCIA 3 team in the spring of 2017 as a reporter.
He has lived in several places across the U.S., including Oklahoma, Washington, Arizona, Texas and D.C. The variety of regions he's explored has led to his interest in meeting new people and telling their stories.
Erick graduated from the University of Oklahoma after majoring in broadcast journalism with a minor in political science. While there, he worked several roles at the collegiate award-winning OU station in the span of four years - from senior producer, to anchor, and state capitol reporter.
Over the years, Erick held internships at Oklahoma Watch – an investigative journalism nonprofit covering state policy issues – has reported from the White House and U.S. Capitol in Washington for Scripps Howard Foundation Wire, and interned at KOTV NewsOn6, the CBS affiliate in Tulsa, Okla.
Erick is a semi-professional pasta chef, a space and airplane enthusiast, and a B- comedian. He suffers from FOMO (fear of missing out), and his coworkers say he is way too social.
He is always looking for new stories to tell. Erick can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org, or on Twitter @WCIA3Erick.
