DECATUR -- Three people face multiple charges in connection with a recent rash of battery thefts. Police made the arrests Wednesday afternoon while investigating a burglary in progress at Alexander Lumber in the 2700-block of North 22nd.
Investigators determined the trio were responsible for thefts of batteries from semi-trucks on the city's northeast side in April. Each suspect faces 32-counts of burglary.
They are 61-year old Vicki Cole, 36-year old Charity Mize and 39-year old Christopher Hoffman. Officials say the investigation is ongoing.
