Armed robber hits pizza joint

SANGAMON COUNTY -- Money is stolen in an armed robbery. Now, the police need help finding the suspect. It was at Papa Murphy's, on Chatham Road, a week ago, about 9 pm.

Authorities say the man went in through a back door and pointed a gun at workers. When he took off, he may have left in a silver car. No one was hurt. The gun may have had a silencer.

The suspect is described as a black man, 5'9", about 180 lbs. He was wearing a blue-hooded jacket, grey sweatpants, black-and-grey shoes, a ski mask and sunglasses.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers. You can remain anonymous and may earn a cash reward.
