Burglar breaks into fire station

SPRINGFIELD -- A fire station was the scene of a burglary earlier this month. Something very dangerous was taken. It happened May 11, in the 2100-block of South 9th Street, at Fire Station #6. Someone broke the window of a vehicle and stole a tactical vest which contained magazines and ammunition.

The suspect fled the scene. He's described as a white man, 6', 180 lbs. He was wearing a dark shirt, dark jeans and a white hat.
