Help ID theft suspect

UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS -- Police are investigating a theft at the UI Undergraduate Library. It happened about 1 am, Saturday, May 10. Two victims reported falling asleep while studying in the cubical area. When they woke up, they discovered a laptop, wallet and iPhone were missing.

Shortly after the theft was reported, one victim found out her iPhone had been bought by a third party for $250. That person told police the phone was sold by an unknown, mixed-race man. The phone was recovered by police. The wallet was also recovered, but ID's and credit cards were missing. The credit cards had been used by the suspect.

Police are searching for the man seen in surveillance video in connection to the theft. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers. You can remain anonymous and may earn a cash reward.
