UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS -- Police want help identifying suspects in a theft at a residence hall. It happened about midnight, October 27.

Five people are suspected of stealing items from a visiting student, including a cell phone, ID, credit cards and cash. The victim met four men and a woman on Green Street and invited them to visit a resident of Champaign's Taft-Van Doren hall with her.

The men remained in the first floor lounge while the victim and the woman visited the resident’s apartment. When they returned to the lounge, the men were gone. That’s when the victim realized her items were missing.

One man returned to pick up the female suspect and told the victim to look “across the street” for her items. Some of her belongings were found where the suspect indicated.

The suspects gave the following names to the victim: Jamillion, Josh, Keshawn and Kill. The woman introduced herself as Leandra or Nana.

Anyone who can identify these suspects or has other information relating to this crime is asked to call Crime Stoppers. You can remain anonymous and may earn a cash reward.
