Parkland student beaten and robbed

CHAMPAIGN -- Police are searching for suspects accused of beating and robbing a Parkland College student. Early Saturday morning, the victim was walking to a friend's apartment on Green Street when he was pushed into the back seat of a car.

Police say the suspects beat him and took his money. They later threw him out of the car near Mattis Avenue and Springer Drive.

The five suspects are described as black males all under the age of 20. They were all dressed in dark clothing. One wore  red and white Chicago Blackhawks hat. The car is a white, 4-door Pontiac.
