CHAMPAIGN COUNTY -- Police are investigating thefts at Walmarts in Urbana and Savoy. Thursday, June 5, a suspect came to a cash register at the store in Savoy. He pulled out a large roll of bills and requested change. When he left, it was discovered he had taken $650.

Just minutes later, the same suspect made a small purchase at the Urbana facility. He also requested several exchanges of cash and took $1,050 from the stack of money when the employee was distracted.

The suspect is a black man, 30 - 35 years old, heavy build with a small beard. He was wearing a black ballcap and black t-shirt. In both cases, he was seen getting into the passenger side of a white Pontiac G6.

In Savoy, he was seen with a younger, thinner black man wearing a white t-shirt. That suspect is the driver of the Pontiac.
