URBANA -- A teenager is Taking Action after her mom's car was stolen last week. Thieves took the car from the family's driveway. They had just finished paying it off. Now, it's gone.

Rainey Little says when she came home from work about midnight Thursday morning, her mom's car was there. But, when they got up the next morning, it was gone.

Ever since, she's been trying to get the word out, encouraging people to keep an eye out for thieves. Little just got a car of her own, so she's been trying to help her mom get around.

The Little's say they've always felt safe in their neighborhood, and they never expected anything like this to happen. Now that it has, they want people to make sure to lock up their things so they don't have to deal with the same situation.

The car is a 2001 white Toyota Highlander. There are some dents on the front and back bumpers. The license plate is K248110.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers. You can remain anonymous and may earn a cash reward.
