Thefts of $13,000+ in wireless equipment investigated

CHAMPAIGN -- Police are investigating multiple thefts of commercial wireless internet equipment. Pavlov Media reported the equipment had been stolen from apartment buildings in numerous locations throughout Champaign and campus.

The components include internet routers, receivers and power boxes with a total value of more than $13,000. All items were stolen from secured service boxes.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers. You can remain anonymous and may earn a cash reward.
