URBANA -- Police are investigating several burglaries to area construction sites. They've taken place the past several weeks at various locations.

Trailers used for storing tools and supplies have been broken into as well as partially-completed structures. Trailers were forcibly entered by locks being cut or hinges broken.

Police ask you to be aware of people repeatedly having large amounts of tools for sale or stored for short periods of time.

Items taken include home plumbing fixtures (most Delta-brand), large rolls of wiring, large rolls of power extension cords, copper pipe, plumbing fixtures and soldering and welding supplies, generators, air compressors and a variety of hand and power tools.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers. You can remain anonymous and may earn a cash reward.
