TOLONO -- This Kid to Know fell in love with monster trucks when he was just 3-years old. Now he's showing off miniature versions and helping others at the same time.

12-year old Adam Munds got his first remote-controlled car when he was 6. Now, he drives a much more souped up version. These things can go almost 70-mph and do flips, jumps, you name it.

Adam started having an annual RC Car & Truck Bash three years ago. Anyone could bring theirs to compete, but the events are more than just fun.

Adam raises money for Community Blood Services of Illinois. It's a cause special to him because he needed blood transfusions when he was born.

At his last bash, Adam raised more than $1,600. He also had the Blood Mobile on site and people donated three gallons of blood.

Adam is hosting another blood drive outside Monical's next week.
