NORMAL -- Getting to state this past weekend wasn't just a dream for the high school basketball players on the court. There was also a competition to play as a state finals pep band.

Tuscola High School was one of eight chosen to rev up the crowd in Normal. The Kids to Know have been working on pep band music since August; and it paid off. They've been trying for three years to earn the honor.

In a twist of fate, Tuscola was picked to play for the Central A&M game. That's one of the school's rivals. Students say they were just happy to see the Okaw Valley represented at state.
