CHAMPAIGN -- These Kids to Know spent their Saturday, not playing in yards, but cleaning them up for people halfway across the world. The typhoon which hit the Philippines also hit the hearts of Cub Scout Troop Pack 121, from St. Matthew School.

They wanted to help survivors of the storm, so they headed out to rake leaves. People donated money. The troop raised $300 so far. The scouts are still waiting on more checks to come in. Scout Matthew Lugardo said people were very nice.

In fact, they showed up at one house and the woman handed them a check and said, "Don't do it. It's too cold and windy." That same spirit is what's helping tornado victims as well.
