PARIS -- Our Town's Kid to Know is taking some yarn and a loom and changing lives. 10-year old Max Moody is taking his hobby to a whole new level.

He started knitting two years ago. He gave a headband to a classmate who lost her home in a fire.

The giving spirit didn't stop there. Max started churning out hats and scarves too, and selling them at craft fairs. He's made nearly $1,000.

All the profits went to different charities. Max has donated money to Shop with a Cop, the Leukemia Association, and soon, St. Jude's Hospital. He also donates what he knits to children who can't afford warm clothing.
