"I just think it's important," said Michelle. "I like Georgetown and the community and I've always grown up here and feel like it's my job to give back."
The award she's most proud of is recognition for Public Speaking in FFA. She got that when she was a sophomore, but she was competing at the senior level. That year, she also went on to state. Greene plans to go to DACC, then EIU, to become a teacher for special needs students. She says she'd love to come back and teach in Georgetown someday.
