WESTVILLE -- Our Town's Kid to Know is a quadruple threat. She sings, dances, acts and plays instruments. Sometimes Karrin Estes does a lot of those things at the same time. The 7th grader just wrapped up a musical in Danville where she played the lead role. It's been keeping her busy most of the summer.

Even though the middle school doesn't offer theater classes, she takes band and chorus. Karrin also got to be part of a high school theater production last year. She says she loves the feeling of performing in front of a crowd.

"I look out to the audience and I pretend I'm just talking to them when I'm actually acting," said Karrin. "It's just really fun. I just love how it feels. It's just an adrenaline rush."

Karrin says music has been a part of her life for as long as she can remember. She's even won talent shows in Vermilion County for singing. Someday she wants to be a professional singer or go to college to major in acting.
