ILLINOIS -- Senator Jason Barickman says Governor Quinn isn't doing a good job running the state.
He's also pointing fingers at other leaders in the general assembly, saying the state needs to stop spending excessively.
He points to the renovations at the state capitol, a project that costs about $50 million, as an example of what he says is poor leadership.

Sen. Barickman (R), who represents the state's 53rd district, also says the state's financial problems need to be addressed by those running for governor.
He isn't throwing his support behind anyone yet, but says he wants someone who's realistic about the $100 billion owned to the pension system.
