Central Illinois to see millions for road work

SPRINGFIELD -- The governor announced Thursday the state will spend more than $10 million on road projects in Central Illinois. The money will go to Champaign, Douglas, Ford and Vermilion counties.

Projects include resurfacing northbound lanes of I-57 from Olympian Drive to Thomasboro and creating permanent bike lanes throughout Urbana. The city will also install new traffic signals and sidewalks.
