Concealed-carry fails again in State House

SPRINGFIELD -- Another attempt at passing concealed-carry failed in the State House Thursday. The bill, which was supported by the Illinois Rifle Association, was said to be the strictest bill proposed by concealed carry proponents.

It failed by a vote of 64-45. It needs 71 votes to pass. Lawmakers have until June 9 to pass a bill because of a federal court ruling.
