ILLINOIS -- Gun owners could face a bigger fine if a new bill in the legislature moves forward. Under the bill, people convicted of carrying a concealed firearm into a prohibited place, like a school, would have to pay a $500 fine. The current fine is $150. Money raised through the fine would go toward mental health.
