Governor hopes to cut fraud & waste

ILLINOIS -- Governor Pat Quinn is urging lawmakers to pass a law aimed at cutting fraud and waste in state grant programs. He wants lawmakers to pass the Grant Accountability and Transparency Act. The bill would require all programs to meet federal standards. It would also create real-time auditing of state grants.
