SPRINGFIELD -- There could be a ruling next week on a lawsuit over Governor Pat Quinn's decision to stop lawmakers' pay. A Cook County judge heard arguments Wednesday.

Quinn cut legislators' salaries until they could come up with a solution to the state's pension crisis. House Speaker Michael Madigan and Senate President John Cullerton sued claiming Quinn's actions are unconstitutional.

Some lawmakers also say Quinn hasn't helped find a pension solution. Quinn says, if lawmakers want to be paid, they can vote to override his veto. Lawmakers have missed two monthly paychecks so far.
