ILLINOIS -- Students throughout the state now have something new to learn in school and it could help save lives. Thursday, Governor Quinn signed a bill requiring students to learn CPR. They'll also have to know how to use mobile defibrillators before they graduate.

The new law allows students to opt out of the training if their parents submit a written objection. The law goes into effect for the 2014 - 2015 school year.
