Pro-gun legislators would like to see some of the restrictions lessened. The law requires 16 hours of training; the most in the country. They'd like to see that decreased.
On the other side, some gun control advocates would like to see more places added to the list where a weapon is prohibited.
Republican State Senator Sam McCann is a strong supporter of the Second Amendment. Even though he'd like to see some changes, he says it's still too soon.
State police are taking applications for concealed-carry permits now. The first permits are expected in April.
Many say changes need to be made because the state was in a rush to pass the law initially, but the sponsor of the original law says people shouldn't be rushing to change it back.
