ILLINOIS -- The state has a new law in place to help children in military families enroll in school faster. Governor Quinn says the law eliminates many of the educational roadblocks students with parents in the military face when changing schools. Health and academic records will be transferred sooner. The law also updates Illinois' portion of the Educational Opportunity for Military Children Act.
