ILLINOIS -- More funding is on its way to help military programs. The Defense Department is handing out more than $550 million. A portion of it is going to the Illinois National Guard. The Lincoln's Challenge program, in Rantoul, will get a big chunk of that money as well. The money also funds a one percent pay raise for military and civilian personnel. There are 13,000 Illinois National Guardsmen.
