ILLINOIS -- The proposed minimum wage raise could end up costing students at state universities. Schools like SIU, Illinois State and Eastern Illinois say, if minimum wage goes up, universities will need millions more to pay student workers which could force a tuition increase.

But, students say they don't want to pay more, just make more. University officials also say, if minimum wage goes up, it could mean cutting back on the number of student jobs.
