DOUGLAS COUNTY -- A recent survey says more people are turning to cellphones for weather alerts. The Douglas County Emergency Management Agency had people fill it out earlier this year.

The results show most people are still watching TV during severe weather, but the next most popular way to receive alerts is by cellphone. The EMA director says it's a great chance to try something new especially since almost everyone has one.
