First responders practice training

URBANA -- First responders are practicing this week for emergencies that could take them out of the state. About 80 people practiced with the Illinois Emergency Management Agency, going through the motions as if they were going to be sent out.

Organizers said it's the first time they've done this kind of specialized training. Emergency workers from Illinois have answered the call to help in many other states. That includes heading to the Atlantic coast when Hurricane Katrina hit in 2005.
