WAPELLA -- One person is in custody and another is sought after an attempted felony theft. Authorities say it happened about 6 pm, Thursday at the Auction House when one man tried to make a payment for items worth over $5,000.

The owners became suspicious of the man who fled on foot when a deputy pulled into the parking lot. An investigation determined the suspect presented two fake ID's when registering for the event.

A second suspect, 25-year old Kyle Huse, of Aurora, MO, was arrested on a preliminary charge of driving with a revoked license, in connection with the incident.

Authorities are still trying to locate the suspect who fled on foot. He used the alias Kenneth Wilson. He's described as a white man, about 35-years old, 6'2" with a slim build. He was wearing blue jeans, a dark hat and dark shirt.

Anyone with information is asked to call police or the DeWitt County Sheriff's Office.
