CHAMPAIGN COUNTY -- Three men face 20-years in prison after pleading guilty to attacking a visiting researcher last year. Ralph Gray and Anthony Davis, both 18 of Champaign, pleaded guilty to aggravated kidnapping.

Co-defendant, Dorian Wills, also 18, pleaded guilty last week. All three accepted plea agreements which caps their sentence recommendations at 20-years in prison. The maximum under the law is 30.

All three admitted attacking a 34-year old from Australia, in October 2011, while he walked back to a hotel in Urbana from a bar in downtown Champaign. The victim was confronted, thrown into a van, further beaten, then left naked in the middle of a field after having his clothing and personal effects stolen from him. He was hospitalized for five days with bleeding on the brain and a broken nose being the most serious injuries.

The suspects took a watch, a small amount of money, a wallet and cellphone from the victim. Authorities used the cellphone to identify the suspects. All three will be sentenced in December.
