After years of searching, a Springfield family is closing a chapter of wonder, and opening the next with answers. James Eudy was arrested today. Police accuse him of stabbing 36-year old Eric Huckaby, Jr., to death back in 2009.
It's been a long road for the Huckaby family. They've been fighting for answers for 3-years now. But police say they've found enough evidence to make an arrest.
Huckaby's mother, Sue, wrote on her Facebook page, "The process of justice begins today."
A process that began in 2009, when she found her son dead in his home. It all started when Sue couldn't get ahold of him. Huckaby wasn't answering her calls, so she went to his house. When she got there, she found his body, covered in blood.
The State's Attorney couldn't give us any details about motive. Eudy is charged with 3-counts of murder. He's being held at the Sangamon County Jail with a bond of $2 million.
