TERRE HAUTE, IN -- A man wrongly-convicted of a double murder in the 1980's is receiving a $3.5 million settlement. It's been eight years since Randy Steidl sued Paris, Edgar County and state officials.

Steidl spent 17-years in prison, including 12-on death row before being set free in 2003. Steidl also received a $2.5 million settlement from the Illinois State Police last year.
