CHAMPAIGN -- An area man has been cleared of child abduction charges. A teenager told police she was picked up at Washington and Miller last week, then dropped off at Bradley and Prospect. The State's Attorney says she lied.

The girl told police 22-year old Kyle Allbright forced her into his car and made her perform a sex act. Police arrested Allbright Friday after interviewing witnesses and finding physical evidence.

But the Champaign County State's Attorney is not filing charges.

"The alleged victim had different accounts of the situation, then admitted that some aspects of the event were not true and the allegations were not supported by independent witnesses," said Julia Rietz.

There is no indication why the girl lied. Police said last week the two did not know each other and would not comment this week on charges being dropped.

CHAMPAIGN -- Police arrested a 22-year old for abducting a child. Kyle Allbright, of the 1900-block of Nancy Court, was arrested Friday, about 3:30 pm.

Authorities say, Wednesday, a 13-year old girl reported a man got out of his car, forced her into it and forced her to perform a sex act. The victim was then dropped off near Prospect and Bradley.

Detectives identified Allbright as the suspect. Officials believe this is an isolated incident and say there have been no other reports of similar incidents in the area recently.
