RANTOUL -- Police are hunting a man they say touched a 5-year old girl several times. Antonio Macedo-Martinez has a warrant out for his arrest. He faces charges for criminal predatory sexual assault of a child.

Authorities say Macedo-Martinez actually admitted doing it, but police were not able to make an immediate arrest. It was a different kind of interrogation which allows information to be used against a suspect.

The trouble is, now that the police have a warrant, they can't find him. Neighbors are alarmed by the news. WCIA-3's Gary Brode has the details.

"They come right here to play with the kids. I don't see anything wrong with them, so I let them take my babies a couple of times."

This neighbor let Antonio Macedo-Martinez and his wife babysit her children last year.

"They are neighbors and they take my babies, so I'm worried about that now."

She's concerned because police say Macedo-Martinez sexually touched a 5-year old.

"He confessed to touching the child inappropriately more than ten times."

Police say it happened from January through March of this year. Macedo-Martinez's wife, Ana Maria, was running an unlicensed daycare. Neighbors say they would see three or four kids at the home everyday. But no kids were there Wednesday. In fact, no one was home.

"His last whereabouts were at his residence."

Police have not seen him since his confession Friday. Now, they need help locating him.

"We obviously have been taking proactive measures to try and find him, and I think we're at the point and time where we need the community's help."

Lieutenant Curt Apperson says they believe there's only been one victim, but this neighbor and concerned mother wants to double-check with her son.

"I will be trying to talk with him about that, but he was younger, so I don't know if he can tell me anything about that."

Apperson would not say if Macedo-Martinez's wife faces criminal charges, but she's suspected to be with him.
