April 17 is Tax Deadline Day

ILLINOIS -- Last minute tax filers have one day left to turn in forms to Uncle Sam. Yesterday would have been the deadline, but this year, filers had two extra days. That's because yesterday was Sunday, and today is Emancipation Day.
Yolanda Starkes owns a Jackson Hewitt branch in Champaign. She says her office was packed yesterday with people trying to file on what they thought was the last day. Ironically, Starkes hasn't filed her taxes yet. Both state and federal returns are due tomorrow at midnight.
