CHAMPAIGN -- Remodeling has started at one area school, and Tuesday was the official construction celebration. Decked out in hard hats, kids, parents and administrators gathered at Bottenfield Elementary for the official groundbreaking ceremony.

The school is getting a brand new cafeteria, gym and classrooms. They are also getting a new principal. Bill Pritcherd said that he believes in the system.

"I'm a product of Unit 4. There was a calling to come home, this is what was waiting for me."

Bottenfield students will spend next school year in the old Carrie Busey building. Their new school will be ready by the Fall of 2014.
