Armed robber strikes dessert shop

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WCIA) -- Police are investigating an armed robbery. It happened about 10 pm, Sunday, at Sno Bizz, in the 1000-block of West Laurel Street.

A suspect entered the business with a black handgun and demanded cash. He fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash. No one was hurt.

The suspect is described as a male, white, late '20's, 5'8", 140 lbs., with an orange-colored beard. He was wearing an orange-and-red plaid shirt, jeans and a green Gander Mountain cap.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers. You can remain anonymous and may earn a cash reward.
