UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS -- A lot of students will be burning the midnight oil this week for finals. For some, the pressure of testing gets to be too much.

Campus police say they tend to get more calls for suicide around this time of year. Suicide threats on campus are up. Over the past year, UI police have received 24 calls from students. Compare that to the year before with 18.

Places like Kevin Elliott Counseling has seen students' stress levels turn quickly. Chris Mayer says hydration, proper diet and a good amount of sleep go a long way in keeping stress levels down. She also suggests studying in moderation instead of cramming.
