Authorities think two shootings connected

DECATUR -- Police are investigating after two men were shot. The first happened about 11 am, Sunday morning on East Lincoln Street. An 18-year old man was hit. No word on his condition.

About three hours later, police responded to Moundford Avenue for a call of shots fired and a car on fire. A 21-year old man was found with a gunshot wound there. No word on his condition either.

Authorities say an officer found a suspect in a car and there was a short chase. It ended at Eldorado and Front streets. Rafel Kennedy, Jr., and Rajiv Rice were taken into custody and charged with attempted murder. Officials also recovered four handguns.

Police say they think both shootings are connected. Plus, they expect to make more arrests.
