CHAMPAIGN -- Hundreds got on their feet to support people with disabilities. Most at the CU Autism Walk went to Hessel Park for their own personal reasons, but everyone here is helping the cause just by participating.

The money raised will help support workshop speakers, family activities and other community projects. It's something Connie Hoagland is proud to keep going.

She's walking for one of her former students from Mahomet-Seymour High School. According to its website, CU Autism Network raised a little over $7,000.
