DANVILLE, Ill. (WCIA) -- A woman who's in critical condition after a crash involving a state trooper is now charged with DUI.
The crash happened Friday afternoon at the intersection of Route 150 and Batestown road. State police say 34 year-old Erika Langford blew through a stop sign and drove into the path of the trooper's squad car. The trooper swerved and tried to stop, but slammed into Langford's door.
She had to be airlifted to the hospital. The trooper was treated and is okay.
The crash was reconstructed and investigated. Police are now charging Langford with DUI, possession of open alcohol while driving, disobeying the stop sign, and not having insurance.

VERMILION COUNTY, Ill. (WCIA) -- An Illinois State Trooper is one victim in a two-vehicle crash. It happened about 2:50 pm, Friday, on U.S. Route 150, at Batestown Road.
The trooper's squad car and SUV collided. The trooper was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the SUV has been airlifted to a hospital with serious injuries.
Route 150 going both ways shut down for more than five hours. During that time lots of officers were out searching the area and investigating the road where it happened. They examined the tread marks from the tires and blocked anyone from even walking near the accident.
The front of the state police car was badly dented and the front of the other SUV was completely crunched. Police opened the roads back up at around 8:15pm.

The area will be blocked off for several hours to respond to a serious crash.
Drivers need to find alternate routes.
